Norine and Sergio first met in Boston while out dancing. Sergio was living in Chicago at the time, and Norine in Boston, but after getting to know each other for a few days in Boston, they knew they wanted to give a relationship a try… and they did! They slayed long distance 1500 miles away until Norine moved to the Windy City. And now, they’re living in Madrid, Spain!
They’re playful and adventurous, know how to be thoughtful and loving, and enjoy learning from each other every day. Norine taught Sergio how to water ski, and Sergio is teaching Norine Spanish! Too adorable! When they’re not boarding flights to fabulous destinations, they love cooking and snuggling in their Chicago home.
So, this was wedding number TWO for these cuties – remember the intimate Lake Titus wedding? Finally, the Spain celebration was here! It took place in the Palacio de Galiana in Toledo, Spain. It is architecturally stunning, and the garden area surrounding the palace is flooded with towering cypress trees, rows of olive + pomegranate trees, and impressive views of Toledo’s medieval old city.
Every part of this wedding happened outside, from the ceremony, to cocktail hour, dinner underneath the twinkling bistro lights, and dancing under the stars. Spanish guitar music floated through the air during cocktail hour as guests sipped their drinks and looked out at the views. The ceremony and toasts were in both English and Spanish, as Norine’s family is from New York and Sergio’s is from Madrid. They even gave out fans for the ceremony and espadrilles for the dance floor, both Spanish wedding traditions. But not everything was so stoic and serious – they partied on the dance floor until 5am!!! FIVE AM!!! Felicidades to the couple – you two are the best!!!
