A Whimsical Springtime Elopement // Boston City Hall Wedding
I’ve gotta admit - I’ve shed *at least a few tears* at every single wedding I’ve ever photographed. I mean, marriage is a really big deal! And the celebration of that eternal commitment to your partner just really hits a sweet spot in my heart. It’s inspiring, its beautiful, and its so incredibly powerful. Like, Beyonce powerful.
And elopements, oh man - these REALLY get me going. The intimate setting is unbelievably touching, and I feel so honored to be part of that magic. Laleh and Ali’s Boston elopement was no exception. They tied the knot on a sunny afternoon at Boston City Hall. They stood before the officiant with Ali’s immediate family close by. Laleh’s family tuned in via FaceTime all the way from Iran. 2018 - what a time to be alive, am I right?! :)
Many hugs, happy tears, and smiles followed the ceremony, and once the newlyweds parted ways with their family, the three of us set off for a photo adventure through downtown Boston.
First, we made our way through Beacon Hill! We winded up and down the cobblestone streets - which Laleh effortlessly strutted through in heels like a true Bostonian woman. ;) We found a cute little tulip flower box to take a photo with. The Persian translation for tulip is Laleh, so capturing that photo was especially meaningful to the lovely bride!
Next we headed into the Boston Public Garden. The sun was beginning to set, making the cherry blossoms and willow trees glow - truly making it feel like a fairytale. We danced our way through the gardens and into Copley Square for the final leg of our wedding day adventures. It was the most fun!
Thank you, Laleh + Ali, for inviting me to capture the first day of your MARRIAGE! Documenting your love story was such a privilege, and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for the two of you! :)
Recently engaged and planning a wedding?! I'd LOVE to hear from you!
